What does the application process for transfer students look like?

The application process is the same for all applicants and there is no intake in summer semesters. Even if you have already studied something similar, our recommendation would always be to apply for the first semester because of the preliminary examination = Grundlagen- und Orientierungsprüfung/GOP, that has to be passed within the first semesters.

Applying with previously gained ECTS for a higher semester would shorten the time available to pass these exams and you would risk being exmatriculated. However, if you apply for the first semester and are accepted, you may be able to have previous achievements accredited one after the other, provided that the module content corresponds to the modules of the BSc AT. This will be checked on a case-by-case basis. Recognition is possible in any semester. Grades are converted into the German system.
